5-step skincare routine that you need right now
The only minimalistic, skincare routine that you will ever need
If you want a minimalistic skincare routine that takes just 5 minutes and delivers the maximum result, then this is for you.
Toner
I start with a toner, gently patting it around my face and letting it absorb all of that goodness to hydrate and nourish my skin. The toner I use is Haruharu Wonder: Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner.
- Balances pH
- Removes impurities
- Hydration
- Prepares skin to absorb other products
- Refreshes and soothes
- Tightens and firms
Serum
After absorbing the toner, I apply a few drops of serum: COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence. This serum protects the skin from dryness and breaking. It also provides a wonderful glow that radiates throughout the day.
- Anti-aging
- Brightening
- Anti-inflammatory
- Repair and renewal
- Pore minimization
Eye Cream
I tend to have very puffy eyes and dark eye bags so I apply the Inkey List Caffeine Eye Cream but feel free to skip this step if you have good skin under your eyes.
- Minimize dark circles
- Wrinkle reduction
- Reduce puffiness
Moisturizer
To lock in all the products, I apply a generous amount of moisturizer. I recommend either CeraVe or Cetaphil as these are highly reputable and you can find them in almost any pharmacy.
- Hydration and barrier from the outside world
- Reduces sensitivity
- Balances oil production
Sunscreen
Finally, to protect yourself from harmful UV rays, apply a good amount of broad spectrum, SPF 50+ sunscreen to your face and neck. I use the CORSX aloe sunscreen but any SPF 50+ sunscreen works well.
- UV protection
- Sunburn prevention
- Decrease the risk of skin cancer
Bonus
I also use the Bulldog beard balm for my beard to keep it tidy throughout the day and some leave-in conditioner to give my hair some curls and keep it from drying out.
